BlackBerry Torch 9810 : Design

9810-camera-release-date-specification-3BlackBerry Torch 9810 is the successor of BlackBerry 9800 and it is the second phone from BlackBerry with sliding form factor. BlackBerry really took a great effort in the designing the new Sliding phone by taking a look at the user feedbacks of the 9800 owners. Now, Coming back to the Torch 9810, it has a great refined accent on the battery door which ensure better grip and hold to the phone.

The phone has a 3.2” inch Capacitive Touch Screen display 480 x 640 pixels, a much higher resolution than the 9800. It is a bright vibrant display and much brighter display. The phone also features Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer etc. The Torch 9810 is quite heavy despite the small screen size, weighting 161 grams and 15mm thick. Black, silver(white) colour versions are available now.

Talking about the keys in the front of the devices, there are five including the famous optical trackpad. With the trackpad the phone offers a great curser control. The QWERTY keyboard quality is the best like in other BlackBerries.

BlackBerry Torch 9810 : Software and Hardware

9810-camera-release-date-specification-2The BlackBerry Torch 9810 is running on the latest OS 7. The new operating system promises a better user experience, although version 6 was disappointing compared to rivals, so RIM really trying to rise their game here with the new OS. It includes all the smartphone features like web browser, media player, social networking support, plus of course excellent support for email because this is a BlackBerry.

The device also features a 1.2GHz processor, 768MB RAM and 8GB internal storage, which can be expanded upto 32GB using microSD card. The GPU configuration on this device is best. You can feel it by having the look at the touch screen. The BlackBerry Torch 9810 using ‘Liquid Graphics’ technology. The battery is Li-Ion 1300 mAh, which i guess could have been 1500 instead. Anyway this will offer a good (not best) talktime and standby for the device.

BlackBerry Torch 9810 : Release Date, Price, Competitors and Final Words

I know, this will be the most awaited session. Well, there is no word about the price of the device. But, i guess BlackBerry Torch 9810 will be priced between $650 to $750. About the release date, it will in the month of September, 2011.

About the competitor, well, there are lot of Android phones there. But, if you are a BlackBerry fan, then i suggest you to go for RIM itself. Of Course the new OS 7 will definitely have some juice in it. 9810 forms one of the trio that announced by BlackBerry which RIM hope will stop users from defecting to rival platforms. Although these are likely to be the best BlackBerry devices ever, RIM will have a very hard time competing with the massively successful Android platform. The other phone i liked in BlackBerry, which announced with 9810 is the BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900, which is a full touch screen device. I will update the new news about the exact release date and price once when it is out. If you liked the post, please considering sharing it. Thank you for reading.
