Facebook + Twitter + More = Google+ (Plus) ; The New Social Networking Equation ; A Case Study
Hello My Dear Readers, Wazz up? I hope you all enjoying your social networking life in the clouds. Well, today i am going to share you a story of evolution, about the birth of a Social Networking site. Yes! I am talking about the Google’s own Social Networking site Google+. I know this is going to make someone hurt but, what i am going to share is my own thoughts. By this post i am not going to force anyone to think in this way unless you feel so. Let’s get started;
According to me ( and for so many) if Facebook is the Dad and Twitter is the Mom then Google+ can be considered to be a son born for them. There are some points in this equation of mine. If you closely examine the Google+ you can see the Facebook and Twitter pieces that is joined like a Jigsaw pieces that form DNA strand (OK! I understood. No biology from now own). I will give you proofs. Let’s take each cases and have a profound look into the equation ;
Google+ : From Facebook
It’s better to ask yourself that reading this. I mean what you first thought in your mind or what did you told your friends about Google Plus first impression. I bet it will be like “ It’s kind of like Facebook”. That’s what i am talking about. It has Facebook concept all along. For example, the notification, the feeds from people you follow, share options. Only diff is that G+ lacks the “Like” button and instead it has the +1 button that Google introduced earlier. The texts appear in the notifications is also almost like that like. “X +1ed your post” instead of “X Liked your post”. Things going around in the internet that Google+ soon getting ads, Games and Applications like the ones that you are already come across with in Facebook. Let’s wait and see what Google+ is turning out into.
Google+ : From Twitter
I found Google Plus is following twitter strategy when it comes to the adding friends to Google Circles. It’s like you can add anyone into circles as like in Twitter that you can follow anyone. You can see the feeds of the person whom you are following like you see the Tweets. Of Course privacy settings is there but, this is what happens if you don’t take care of Privacy settings area. But, i found this way of adding friends really helpful to bloggers like me. I am currently on the path of “Add to circles and get added into circles” which is really great when it comes to get more contacts in your circles.
Google+ : Inborn Talents
When it comes to what Google Plus owns beside features that is taken from Facebook and Twitter then, i must say, there are actually a few but, great features that is unique to Google Plus alone in the Social Networking area. The Google+ Circles, Hangouts (facebook also added recently Facebook video chat in cooperation with Skype. But, i prefer Hangouts), and Sparks. The Circles is a great way to organize your friends.

The Sparks is like getting newsletter on your feed favourite topic on your feeds session and hangouts is a great video chat feature. It supports conference video chat and even supports watch YouTube Videos live with your friends. Pretty Awesome ah!
Overall, I think the concepts that taken from other social networking sites are confronted by the Google+ on-board features that is really great. If you find more features both ‘inherited’ and ‘non-inherited’ please share it with us in the comments session. Well, i hope you liked this post. Please share this post with your friends. Thank you for reading.
