Nokia announced Nokia 808 PureView MWC2012′s press event. Nokia 808 PureView release date is set to be on 24th May 2012. At first, you might have think that this is just another Nokia phone. But, it isn’t. Yeah, It has got an average processor, average build quality and Normal display size. So, what is the big deal? This is going to be a big surprise for you. The Nokia 808 PureView is fitted with a 41 MP Camera with Carl Zeiss optics. This doesn’t mean that this is gonna be the expensive phone in the market. Nokia played brilliantly in the Nokia 808 PureView specification to minimize the price of the phone. The phone has a 1.3 GHz processor and is coming with Symbian Belle OS preloaded. The phone is loaded with Nokia Symbian Belle OS. The phone supports all audio and video formats. There is an HDMI port so that you can hook up your phone with the gigantic flat screen you have. The phone has Nokia Ovi Maps, GPS, A-GPS. Like the Nokia N8, Nokia 808 PureView also offers USB on the go feature.

Like I said on the introduction, Nokia 808 PureView has a 41MP Camera (38MP effective) with Carl Zeiss optics. It has autofocus, Xenon Flash and option to leave the flash on for shooting video. The camera features a ND Filter and it offers 3x times lossless, non blurry digital zoom. You can record 1080p videos @ 30fps. In video mode also there is an option 3x lossless digital zoom and continuous autofocus.

Nokia 808 PureView is available in Black, White and Red colors. It has a 1400 mAh battery which I dont think offers the best battery back up. Even though Nokia says it offers a Talktime of 11h on 2G network and 6 h 50 min on 3G network.

The Nokia 808 PureView release date is set to be on 24th May 2012 and it will be launched globally. In USA Nokia 808 PureView carrier is not yet announced. Nokia 808 PureView price in India is Rs 29,990, price in USA will be $550. I think for that price tag Nokia is offering a good phone with average specification and a best camera on a mobile device. At the end of the day you can at least say, I have Nokia 808 PureView – the best camera phone ever.
