Motorola is all famous for it’s Droid Serious phones that really made the company to the level we see now. The Motorola Android phones are really just great. The Upcoming models like Motorola Droid Bionic 4G and Motorola Photon 4G are just amazing in their specs and look. They are really going to iPhone 5 killers for sure. Today let’s have a look around the recent release from Motorola, Motorola Droid X2. I know it’s kind of late to write about this device in after one month of release but, i think this really worth to write about. Let’s get into the phone in detail;
The Motorola Droid X2 is a CDMA device and it won’t work with any GSM network worldwide!
Motorola Droid X2 : Appearance
Motorola Droid X2 appearance is almost similar to the Motorola Droid X. The sharp edges and bumpy camera portion makes this more similar to Motorola X. As i told before the device is CDMA. Motorola Droid X2 is the Verizon’s First dual core phone. The device has a 540 x 960 pixels, 4.3” inch qHD display, which makes the device screen more brighter and crispy than the original Droid X. The device weights only 150g and only 9.9mm thick.
The Motorola Droid X2 screen supports multi touch input and the has this scratch resistant Gorilla Glass display. The phone do have the usual sensors like the Accelerometer and the Proximity Sensors. The Display seems to be pretty edge to edge except for the little space it too for the speaker grill. Unlike the other Android Phones, the Motorola Droid X2 has the 4 physical buttons. They are not capacitive buttons which you might accidently hit while holding and all.

Motorola Droid X2, from the name itself you can tell what OS the device is running on. Yes, Android V2.2 Froyo which can be upgraded to v2.3 Gingerbread.
The device has a Dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 proccessor, ULP GeForce GPU, Tegra 2 chipset, 512MB RAM and 8GB internal memory which can be expanded upto 32GB using external card slot. You will get 8GB card along with Motorola Droid X2 purchase.
The Motorola Droid X2 is powered by a Li-Ion 1540 mAh battery which gives pretty good standby time.

Motorola Droid X2 features a 8MP autofocus camera with Dual LED flash. The camera can shoot 720p videos @30fps. Unfortunately, there is no secondary camera for video calling which really makes a few really disappointed.
Other Features, Motorola Droid X2 support 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Adobe Flash 10.2 support. HDMI port, A-GPS, GPS, Push Email. There is no support for EDGE and GPRS as this is a CDMA device.
