New Facebook spam reported on different parts and this time it is titled “ [Video] Yeah!! It Happens on live Television! “. This is really a bad news again at the Facebook world. I still remember the first time I reported the Facebook Spam and it was about the ‘Youtube Video’ Spam. What are these things that is spreading in the Facebook? Well, in the early stages it was just some javascript’s and when Facebook updated there algorithm and find a new way to prevent execution of such spammy scripts spammers found and they titled it as the new ” [Video] Yeah!! It Happens on live Television! “. So, what this will do and how big it is? I know that is the question you have in your mind right now.
Well, the new spam is little bit different from the old one ‘cos here, instead of the javascript’s this attack users by telling them to install a add-on(google chrome) or extension(firefox) to watch a video that happened on a live television which is related to some kind of embarrassing moment of lady (see the picture). It’s quite normal that you may think like, oh! this is just happened live on television and millions watched it and why can’t I? Right from there, the mission of the spammer started executing and it end’s just after you install the extension the site says. Let’s have a look at it.

And of course it would be shared by one of your friends and this really will make you more attracted towards it and will force you to click on it. When you click on that link what you expect is you can start watching the video on the Facebook video player but, that is not going to happen. Instead, you will be redirected to a site and there you can see something like this;
When you click the install plugin the plugin will get installed and this you are one among the people who spreads the spam. The same wall post will start spreading on your friends wall in the name of you. If you scroll down the same page of the site you can see few facebook comments there and if you have a closer look at them you can see that they are just pictures. They are not interactive links; You will understand this if you try to click on the reply, like, Follow posts buttons under each comments.

Now, How to stop Spam spreading from You
As you are affected by the spam all you have to do is to stop it from spreading to your friends wall. For this, all you have to do is just remove the extension/add-on installed on your browser.
If you look at the extensions/add-ons list on your browser you can see “ Youtube extension 1.4.0 ”. Just uninstall this and restart your browser. Well, if you still in a doubt that your computer is affected, you can run a spyware scan. That’s all you have to do. Well, please stop the spam from spreading by stopping your friends by clicking it.
